Katharina Wolf-Grießhaber, born in 1955 in Stuttgart, studied Slavic and East European History in Heidelberg and Bochum. She obtained her Master’s degree with a paper on Ivo Andrić and her Ph.D. with a dissertation about Danilo Kiš. Katharina Wolf-Grießhaber lives and works as a literary translator in Münster. In addition to publications about Ivo Andrić, Bora Ćosić and Vladimir Nabokov she has published numerous translations from Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian into German, including works by Bogdan Bogdanović, Ivan Čolović, Bora Ćosić, Predrag Čudić, Slavenka Drakulić, Dževad Karahasan, Danilo Kiš and Emir Suljagić. In 2008 she received the ALBATROS Prize of the Günter Grass Foundation.
