La Disdetta

Anna Felder’s La Disdetta is a short experimental novel, in which logical narrative structures are softly undone. The quaint life in an old house and garden is turned topsy-turvy when a notice of their imminent expropriation arrives. The author’s cunning trick is the choice of narrator: The cat of the house, which recounts in the first person the habits and daily tragedies of the other protagonists.
