The novel’s main character is a young aspiring writer who lives in Lviv. After the Maidan revolution, his long-running relationship with the journalist Nastja is in crisis. In search of inspiration and peace, he returns to North Macedonia, his homeland, which he left eleven years ago. Once arrived in the mountain village, the reality before him is far removed from the long-awaited idyll of his dreams. Stanojoski skillfully combines several genres to tell a captivating tale.
