Als ich jung war

In the beginning, there is only a kiss. But does that even exist, just a kiss? Franz grows up in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in Tyrol. He photographs couples “on the happiest day of their lives”, but then, one day, a bride dies during the wedding party. What does that have to do with him? What about the fact that he had kissed a girl at the same spot only weeks before? He runs away from these questions, all the way to America.
