Zorana Rackov was born in Kikinda in 1980. She has a BA in French language and literature and has devoted herself to teaching and translating work of French-speaking authors. Her first translation of a short story by Quebec author Eric Gautier was published in 2011, followed by Marie-Chantale Gariépy’s short story novel 25 cents et autres histoires à la pièce (Tête première, 2016). By exploring the Swiss literary scene, she discovered and translated Rengaine by Julien Maret (Edition José Corti, 2011) and Poids Lourd by Pascal Rebetez (Editions d’autre part, 2017). She received a grant for a translator’s residency at Château de Lavigny for her translation project Hériter du silence by Mathias Howald (Editions d’autre part, 2018).
