Sebastian Walcher was born in Graz in 1981. He studied Slavic studies and conference interpreting in Graz and Ljubljana. Sebastian Walcher lives and works as a translator and interpreter for German and Slovene and as a moderator of monolingual and multilingual events in Graz. He translates for several cultural institutions. His numerous literary translations from Slovene into German include works by Dino Bauk, Svetlana Makarovič, Andrej E. Skubic and Tomaž Šalamun.
