Mojca Kumerdej, born in Ljubljana in 1964, is a writer, philosopher and publicist. Her short stories have appeared in anthologies both at home and abroad and have been translated into more than ten languages. For the story Pod gladino she received the prize of the Vilenica International Literary Festival in the summer of 2006. In 2017, she was awarded the prestigious Prešeren Prize for her novel Kronosova žetev.
