Duška Gerić Koren, born in Varaždin in 1964, studied Spanish and French Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb. She is a member of the Croatian Literary Translators’ Association and Croatian Journalists’ Association, and works as a culture editor for the Croatian news agency HINA. Her literary translations include works by José Ortega y Gasset (La rebelión de las masas), Manuel Puig (Boquitas pintadas), María Fasce (La mujer de Isla Negra), Ariana Harwicz (Matate, amor), Andrés Neuman (Fractura), Rodrigo Fresán (Jardines de Kensington), Evelio Rosero (Los ejércitos), Leonardo Padura (El hombre que amaba a los perros and Mario Conde series), Alain Minc (Le Nouveau moyen age), Florian Zeller (La Fascination du pire) and Larry Tremblay  (L’orangeraie) among others.
