Elisa Shua Dusapin, born in France in 1992, was raised in Paris, Seoul, and Porrentruy, Switzerland. She obtained her degree in literary studies from the Swiss Literature Institute in Bienne (Haute Ecole des Arts de Berne) in 2014. She made her debut with Winter in Sokcho (Hiver à Sokcho). Published in 2016 to wide acclaim, it was awarded the Prix Robert Walser and the Prix Régine Desforges, and has been translated into Korean, Spanish, German and many other languages. 2018 she published her second novel Les Billes du Pachinko, followed by Vladivostok Circus in 2020.
