Danail Stefanov was born in 1986 in Sofia and studied Slavic Philology focusing on Serbian and Croatian Language as well as Slovenian Language and Literature at the Sofian University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He has already undertaken some translations for magazines and anthologies. In 2010 he took part in a translation competition at the Sofian University and his translation was published. The translation of the novel Kad umrem da se smijem by Fadila Nura Haver that he has completed with Simeon Stefanov was, however, his first more extensive translation project.
