Bisera Dakova, born in 1966, is a Bulgarian literary historian. In 2002, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Literature of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In 2003 she completed the “Ernst Mach” research fellowship at the University of Vienna. In 2007 she taught as a lecturer at the Institute of Literature (BAW), and from 2006 to 2011 as a guest lecturer in Bulgarian and Bulgarian literature at the University of Vienna (2006-2011) and at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. Since 2016, Bisera Dakova has been teaching Bulgarian literature at the Institute for Slavic Studies at the University of Vienna.
