WOLF
Publisher: Carlsen
A holiday camp in the deep forest: Endless hikes, roasted jacket potatoes, the buzzing of mosquitoes. For a couple of days a group of adolescents is let loose on each other, and on nature, with only a small number of mildly motivated carers in tow. Two classmates, outsiders, try to take the unpleasant activities in their stride and not to succumb to peer pressure. One of them, Jörg, is having difficulties coping with it all. He is put under pressure by the others and is being constantly humiliated and made to feel different. The other classmate observes these bullying attacks without stepping in – for fear of becoming a victim himself. When the situation threatens to escalate, a wolf turns up. Is it just a nightmare? Or a call to face up to the nightmare that is reality and be courageous: for yourself and others?
