An interpreter tells her story. After two years in Russia she is finally back home. In her job as an interpreter, she is the voice of the traumatised refugees and also their therapists. With each day, it becomes harder to keep a distance from the refugees’ stories and accept society’s and politics’ position on refugees. At the same time, Nora tries to sort our her own chaotic life. Mascha Dabić shines light on a protagonist in the refugee crisis that gets oftentimes overlooked: the interpreters toiling in the background.
