A young couple returns to the rocky landscape of Saxon Switzerland after a long absence. The desire to build a new life in the place of their childhood leads them to confront their origins, but also a new strangeness. The narrator remembers his school friend who lost his leg while climbing together and the public reprimand at school during the socialist roll call. But: there are not only apple trees and Elbe meadows in the old hometown, there is also the neo-Nazi summer camp. The mistrust of the villagers threatens to ruin the couple’s relationship.
