Thilo Krause, born in Dresden in 1977, lives and works in Zurich. Since 2005, he has published literary texts in magazines (including Akzente, Sinn und Form), newspapers (including Die Zeit, Zürcher Tagesanzeiger) and anthologies. He was awarded the Swiss Literature Prize for his poetry in 2012 and the Clemens Brentano Prize of the City of Heidelberg and the ZKB Schiller Prize in 2016. He received the Peter Huchel Prize for his poetry collection “Was wir reden, wenn es gewittert” (2018) and the Robert Walser Prize for his novel “Elbwärts” (2020).
