Žarko Milenić was born in 1961 in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a writer, translator, journalist, literary critic and publisher of numerous books. He graduated from a technical college in economy in Belgrade and lived after graduation in Osijek and Rijeka for 20 years. He returned to his home city in 2006. He heads the literary club of the Brčko district and is the editor-in-chief of the arts and culture magazine Riječ and of the SF magazine Orion. Žarko Milenić writes poetry, short stories, theatre plays, critics and essays. He received several awards for his works, which have been published in Macedonian, Ukrainian, and Armenian. He is himself a translator from Russian, English, Macedonian, Bulgarian, and Slovenian.
