Tea Tulić

Tea Tulić, born in Rijeka in 1978, is a Croatian writer who publishes prose in various domestic and foreign literary magazines. In 2011, she won the Prozak Award for the best manuscript by an author under 35 years of age for the prose book Kosa Posvuda (Hair Everywhere). This book has also been published in Serbian, Italian, Macedonian and English translations. Her other prose texts have also been translated and published in Slovenian, French, Romanian, German and Danish. She is a member of the informal Rijeka literary group RiLit. In 2014, in collaboration with Enver Krivac and the music collective Japanski Premijeri, she released the spoken word album Albumče. In 2017, she published the book of poetic prose Maksimum jata (Maximum Flock), which was shortlisted for the 2018 tportal award. She is one of the lecturers at the Centre for Creative Writing. In 2023, she published her third book – the novel Stravinari starog svijeta (Vultures of the Old World). The book won the tportal award for best novel, the Kamov award (Croatian Writers’ Association) and the Štefica Cvek regional award.
