Stanka Hrastelj

Stanka Hrastelj, born in 1975 in Brežice, lives as a poet and translator in Krško. She has published two books of poetry, in 2005 Nizki toni, for which she received the national prize for the best debut work, and in 2009 the book Gospod, nekaj imamo za vas (2009). Her first novel Igranje was published in 2012 by Mladinska knjiga. The manuscript for the novel won the contest organized by the publishing house. Her poems have been translated to many languages and frequently anthologized.
