Lora Nenkovska was born in 1979 in Pazardžik, Bulgaria. She attended Balkan Studies and Romanian Philology at the University of “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Sofia and earned her PhD from History of Arts and Literature. She works as a curator at the National Museum of History in Sofia and teaches contemporary Romanian language at the University of “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She translates prose, poetry and theatre plays, until now the works of Mircea Eliade, Dan Lungu, Ioan Groşan, Petru Cimpoeșu, Filip Florian, Matei Vișniec, Gianina Cărbunariu, Peca Ștefan, Alina Nelega, Adela Greceanu and Claudiu Komartin.
