Katerina Shekutkovska was born in Skopje, North Macedonia, in 1988. She studied German language and literature as well as literature, art and media at Skopje as well as Konstanz University. With a DAAD scholarship, she completed her master’s degree in German literature and literary exchange at Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg, where she is currently living and working on a dissertation project on Thomas Mann and Fyodor Dostoevsky. In addition to her academic work, Shekutkovska translates works by German-speaking authors, including Daniel Kehlmann, Jonas Lüscher, and Nis-Momme Stockmann, into Macedonian and contributes to the editorial work of other projects.
