Jan Cornelius

Jan Cornelius, born in 1950 in Reschitz (Romania), studied English language and literature, and Romance studies. He is a freelance author and writes humorous, satirical prose, poems and childrens’ books. He also contributes to satirical magazines, (Eulenspiegel, Nebelspalter) and writes satires, ironical pieces and radio plays for various radio stations, especially for the WDR. His translations have included works by Dan Lungu from Romanian into German. Jan Cornelius has lived with his family in Düsseldorf since 1977.
