                                                                            Irinel Antoniu was born in 1981 in Botoşani, Romania. He studied Romanian and French languages and literatures at the University of Iaşi. He graduated in 2004. He is currently an editor at the publishing house Univers. Since 2005, he has translated 25 books from French to Romanian, including Gabriel Osmonde’s L’Œuvre de l’amour, Gaston Bachelard’s Le droit de rêver, Benoît Duteurtre’s La petite fille et la cigarette, Marek Halter’s Le Kabbaliste de Prague, Maurice Halbwachs’ La mémoire collective, and Marie-Jeanne Urech’s Des accessoires pour le paradis.
