Ekaterina Dzhuteva was born in 1980 in Burgas. She studied political economy at the University of Leipzig and later on Public Relations at the Burgas Free University. After her studies, she worked several years as a sales representative for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since 2011, she has been writing articles, analyses, and other texts of various genres and translates theatre plays, short stories and novels from German to Bulgarian. She translated works by authors such as Richard Schuberth, Miron Zownir, Gabi Köpp and Thomas Stangl.
