Oleg and Nikola come to the remote and devastated town of N. The investors arrive in N. to revitalise the turbine production for which the town was known during the socialist era. People from seemingly opposing worlds, workers and the financial elite, waitresses and managers, locals and Americans, enter into relationships with each other that change them and drive them into the unknown. In a humorous and moving fashion the author connects the local and the global, the present and the future, events from Siberia to Maghreb and from the Dinaric Alps to London to conjure up an exciting story.
