Writer and Stasi spy “Cambert” is supposed to shadow a mysterious writer who is suspected of working on “hostile-negative” plans. However, since this author never makes an attempt to publish his texts, the suspicion results difficult to prove. “Cambert’s” doubts about the necessity of his task, which forces him to embark on eerie expeditions through Berlin’s cellars, grow with the uncertainty of whether the Ministry of State Security is even interested in his reports. More and more often he is plagued by the idea that not even he as a person is being taken seriously.
