Was vom Sommer übrig ist

Nothing is working out as it’s supposed to for Louise this summer. Her parents act even stranger with her than usually and so do her classmates, especially since the incident with Paul. And her plan to structure her job at the Traffic Light bakery with her stints delivering newspapers so that she can quickly tick off her driving lessons is failing miserably in practice. And she shouldn’t have promised her grandma that she would look after her short-tempered dog Bonnie. On top of it all there’s Jana, who she meets in the middle of summer sitting and eating one of those small, shrink-wrapped chocolate cakes and who suddenly follows Louise around like a shadow, almost as if she expects Louise to show her how to live.
