Thea turns 19 in May of 1945. The past six months she has been working on the farm of the Lemke family in Protzen, a town northwest of Berlin.This is were she experiences the last months of the war. Gripped by her fears and ever-growing doubts. Then, the dramatic events on the march back to Berlin, on foot, walking through the destroyed city and passing by broken remnants of her dreams – her only escape from a reality rubbed of any trace of hope. And all her observations she notes down in her diary.
