In post-war Sarajevo, a father traumatised by the war is looking for a way out of his stuck life, caught between his wife, daughter and job. He quits his job in the advertising industry and starts working on a website that is nothing more than a novel that makes unrestrained use of his family’s life. When he quits his job, which he feels is as dishonest as the development of his country, he begins a love affair with an ex-colleague. Caught between the fear of death from an ominous illness and the fear of life, he gives in to his fantasies until reality catches up with him and he is left alone and without prospects. The price for his longed-for freedom is high: the void he has created seems to have only one fitting end, the erasure of his novel and with it his memories, which are all he has left …
