The novel by Nikolaidis, published in 2012, follows two narrative levels. The first story focusses on the research surrounding the circumstances of the death of a monk and the novel the author is trying to write about it. The second narrative is an exploration of the act of writing itself. A multi-layered, complex concoction by one of Montenegro’s finest writers.
