La Seconde Chute ou Godot, acte III, “continuation”

Since 1953, Vladimir and Estragon have been waiting on stages all over the world for the absent Godot to turn up. In Dupuis’ play, he finally comes and speaks to them. La Seconde Chute ou Godot, acte III, ‘continuation’ [The Second Fall, or Godot, Act III], is written as a response and homage to the author of Waiting for Godot. Dupuis ironically abandons the romanticised image of the ideal woman and denounces the author’s tyranny over his characters: What if they were to rebel one day? And what if they had the freedom to reinvent themselves and everything around them at any moment?

The Romanian edition titled Teatru also includes the play Les enfers ventriloques.
