Slovenia, WWII: Young medical student Sonja recognises in the SS officer, whom she encounters on a street in Maribor, Ludek, who, as a boy, pushed her into the snow when skiing. Ludek is now called Ludwig and is a fervent Nazi. Sonja asks him for help in connection with her imprisoned friend Valentin. But, to receive help from Ludwig, Sonja will need to pay a heavy price.
