The father of the young narrator dies unexpectedly, fifteen years after the family migrated from Kosovo to Switzerland. The walls come crashing down around her and she feels more isolated and cut off than ever before. In search of her place in the world she revisits the places she has come through in her short life and tries to track down her own identity.
