On the verge of the 21st century, the time gets out of beat which offsets time and space planes in this novel. It takes places in Macedonia at the turn of the millennium but also in the USA, Afghanistan, and Surinam and it interweaves the fates of 33 personalities of the present and the past. At the same time in the East and the West, in reality and in fiction, in the present and in another, accelerated past, in war and in peace that is like war. Certainties become unsure, the lives of characters become swirled. What remains is a hope for a better future.
