Denise is not very talented at life. She works at a store and her little daughter Linda more often than not completely overwhelms her. A long-awaited and postponed trip to New York remains only, but at least, a comforting dream. With the wages from a porno shoot, she finally wants to get ahead in life, but the people in charge make her wait for her money. But: More and more often a certain Anton stands at her cash register. A washed-up and indebted ex-law student who sleeps in a dormitory. Cautiously, the two become close and form a bond. But they have to ask themselves how much closeness their lives really allow.
