Thomas Melle, born 1975 in Bonn, studied Comparative Literature and Philosophy in Tübingen, Austin (Texas), and Berlin. He is a German writer and translator. His translations include William T. Vollmann’s novel Huren für Gloria (Suhrkamp 2005) amongst many others. As an author he has published several books, including Sickster, 3000 Euro, and Die Welt im Rücken. For all three he was nominated for the German Book Prize. Melle lives in Berlin.
