Verena Keßler, born in Hamburg in 1988, lives in Leipzig, where she studied at the German Literature Institute. Her debut novel, Die Gespenster von Demmin (2020), was nominated for numerous awards and honoured with the Kranichsteiner Jugendliteratur-Stipendium. Eva (2023) is her second novel.
