Sandra Brkljačić, born in 1966 in Zagreb, studied Comparative Literature and German at the Faculty of Philosophy of Zagreb University . Since 1995 she has worked as a German teacher at the grammar school in Jastrebarsko. She has translated works by Franz Werfel, Arthur Schintzler, Benno Meyer-Wehlack and Carl Zuckmayer, among others, from German into Croatian.
