Ognjen Spahić, born in 1977 in Podgorica, is, together with Andrej Nikolaidis, part of the young author generation of Montenegro, whose texts are publicly discussed. He was the founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine for young people,Juventas. Currently, He currently works  as the cultural editor of the newspaper Vijesti. Ognjen Spahić publishes prose and critiques in all of Montenegro’s relevant literary and cultural newspapers. In 2001, his short story anthology Sve to appeared. He received the Meša Selimović Prize for his novel Hansenova djeca, which was published in Zagreb in 2004.
