Nikola B. Cvetković, born in 1953, is a translator and freelance artist. He attended the Nicolaus Cusanus Grammar School and the Otto Kühne School in Bonn. After ‘A’ Levels he studied German and English at the Philological Faculty in Belgrade. Nikola B. Cvetković has translated several works from German, including those by Gustav Meyrink, Thomas Bernhard, Siegfried Unseld, Jan Assmann, Volker Kutscher, Erich Fried and Robert Walser. For many years he was a staff member at ARD. He received the Prize from the Pro Helvetia Foundation for his translations of Robert Walser, the Serbian Association of Literary Translators honoured him for his translations of the poems of Erich Fried.
