Nenad Popović, born in Zagreb in 1950, studied German and Yugoslavian studies. His translations into Croatian include essays and autobiographical books (Sebastian Haffner, Gerd Koenen, Tilla Durieux, Gregor Mayer, Wolfgang Bauer and others) as well as plays, including works by Anton Bruckner, Ödön von Horváth, Thomas Bernhard and Botho Strauss. Nenad Popović is the editor of the literary magazine Fantom slobode (Zagreb) and writes essays and literary reviews. He lives in Pula.
