Neagu Djuvara

Neagu Djuvara, born in 1916, was a Romanian historian, essayist, philosopher, journalist, and diplomat. Djuvara descended from an old Romanian or Aromanian linage of boyars. During communism, he studied and lived in France, only returning to Romania in 1990. Djuvara died in January of 2018.
