Nataša Medved, born in 1976 in Rijeka, studied German and Romance studies at the Philosophical Faculty in Zagreb. Since 2007 she has worked in Zagreb as a freelance translator from German and French. She is a member of the Croatian Literary Translators’ Association and of the Croatian Association of freelance artists. She has translated Hans Belting, Christian Kracht, Kevin Venemann, Kirsten Boie, Andreas Urs Sommer, Juli Zeh, Peter Bürger, Jürgen Habermas, Joseph Ratzinger and Thomas Bernhard from German, and Marc Augé and Agota Kristof from French.
