Maxim Biller, born in Prague in 1960, has been living in Germany since 1970. He is the author of the novels “Esra” and “Die Tochter”, the short story collections “Liebe heute”, “Bernsteintage”, “Land der Väter und Verräter” and “Wenn ich einmal reich und tot bin”, the essay collections “Die Tempojahre” and “Deutschbuch” as well as the autobiographical volume “Der gebrauchte Jude”; he also writes plays (“Kanalratten”) and columns. The novel “Sechs Koffer” was shortlisted for the German Book Prize.
