Matija Godeša

Matija Godeša was born in 1994 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He studied translation (English, German, Slovenian) at the University of Ljubljana. He is currently working as a translator for the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which is coming up in the second half of 2021, while previously also taking part in internships in Vienna and Luxembourg. He was a part of the Young Translators and their breakthrough in the Slovenian literary market project, organised by the Department of Translation Studies and the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana. His only published translation, i.e. of the German children’s book Nusret und die Kuh, was the result of this collaboration.
