Luca-Ioan Frana, born in 1976 as a member of the Croatian minority in Reşiţi (Romania), studied History at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of  Zagreb. He has published translations in the journals Ars and Tema and in the catalogue Revije malih književnosti. Jointly with Ivana Olujić and Marina Gessner he edited an anthology of contemporary Romanian short prose, under the title Nabokov u Brašovu. Luca-Ioan Frana lives and works as a translator in Zagreb.
