Lilia Ratcheva-Stratieva

Lilia Ratcheva-Stratieva is a children’s book author, translator, and literary critic. She studied Bulgarian and English Language and Literature at the University of Sofia and specialised in children’s literature in Munich and Minneapolis. She worked as a publishing company editor, was the Editor of the international children’s and young adult literary journal Bookbird, member of the international panel of the Andersen Award and President of the panel of the international Janusz Korczak Award. She has lived in Austria since 1996, and is currently working on EU education projects. Her articles on children’s and young adult literature have been published in Bulgaria, Austria, Poland, USA, France, Switzerland, China, Hungary and other countries. She translates from Polish, English and German.
