Léa Cohen, born in 1942 in Sofia, studied piano in her home town and the history of music in the Dutch city of Utrecht. She was pianist and director of the philharmonic orchestra in Sofia. After the fall of the Berlin wall she made a name for herself as a journalist and later became an ambassador in Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. She now lives near Neuchâtel in Switzerland and in Sofia. Léa Cohen has written many books, including the novel Консорциум Alternus (title of the English translation: The Consortium Alternus) which was translated into German with the support of TRADUKI.
