Ksenija Banović, born in 1975 in Travnik, studied Croatian studies in Zagreb and specialised in Bulgarian language and literature at Sofia University. She is the co-author of the exhibition Holy Language of My Grandfathers: Croatian-Bulgarian Parallels at the National and University Library in Zagreb. Her translations include works by Georgi Gospodinov, Alek Popov, Vladimir Zarev, Vera Mutafchieva and Zachary Karabashliev. In 2016, she received the Literature Award of the Bulgarian National Book Centre in the translation category.
