Katerina Josifoska
Katerina Josifoska, born in 1982 in Skopje, studied at the Philological Faculty of the University of Skopje. She completed her Master’s degree at the Faculty of Philosophy and her Ph.D. at the Professorship for Literature. She researches the interdisciplinary connections between Philosophy and Literature. Her academic interests include Hebrew Literature, the psychoanalytical criticism of literature as well as aesthetics, politics and deconstruction. She was an external employee at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts and worked on the international project “Interpretations”. In 2008 her book Гробница од хартија [Tomb of Paper] was published. Katerina Josifoska translates from English, Spanish and German into Macedonian. Her translations include works by Gabriel García Márquez, José Saramago, Christoph Ransmayr and Walter Benjamin.
