Jelena Radovanović studied English at the University of Belgrade. Since 2002 she has been living and working in Germany, where she works as a freelance literary translator and English teacher. She has published four volumes of poetry and devotes herself mainly to translating German poetry (Yvan Goll, Mascha Kaleko, Rose Ausländer, Robert Gernhardt, Günter Grass, Ernst Meister, Wolf Wondratschek, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Ernst Jandl, Erich Fried, Heiner Müller, Sophie Reyer, Tom Schulz, etc.) and fiction.
